Repair Central

Overview

Repair Central already has a fully functional Joomla / VirtueMart setup and functioning for their business. What needed improving was the design, layout and user experience for the end user. The staff at Repair Central found that they were spending a large amount of their time dealing to issues across the website in terms of usability and accessibility.

Repair Central were also spending a large amount of money on Google Adwords (pay per click advertising) and wanted to improve the overall search engine optimisation of the site to lower their monthly spend and slowly crawl up the natural results.

Solution

PB Web Development redesign the site with the main focus being able to funnel traffic and users to the right places in the site and enable the users to make an informed and easy booking of a repair.

The design was created based upon user stats that were collected from previous analytical reporting on the site. Key aspects and services of the site were place well above the fold to help direct users to the right spot from the home page. Large graphical buttons were also used to help supplement text based navigation on the site.

Several search engine optimisation components were also used in building the site. This in the long run will help improve the sites overall SEO by creating well formed search engine friendly URLs, page titles and 301 error handling across the site.

PB Web Development also provided a Joomla hosting solution for Repair Central. Speed had always been an issue on the previous site and having redesigned a lightweight and optimised template, we then placed it on one of our private Joomla specific hosts to get the best speeds and response times.
