Best Time to TweetUnderstanding reader and user behaviour is the key to understanding when it is the best time to release an article from your blog and tweet it to the rest of the world.

One main factor that has become more apparent to me with other Twitter users is that we all seem to wake up and reach for the mobile device to read over their latest tweet updates and newsfeeds before getting into our day.

This morning period when users are getting up out of bed, having breakfast or starting their commute to work via public transport seems to be the best time for publishing and receiving retweets from other users.

So there are whispers in the industry at the moment about Twitter releasing their Google inspired advertising platform on their network. The hugely popular micro blogging network is finally capitalizing on their work. According to reports from All Things Digital, the ads will appear on the search results on Twitter. So when ever a user searches Twitter for particular keywords.

Lots of details haven’t been finalised as yet such as:

  • How are ads bought and placed.
  • Will Twitter search become more refined and become more useful to users.
  • How will Twitter gather more information on its users to provide more accurate results.
