This plug-in allows for the easy integration of the CrazyEgg.com tracking JavaScript into your Joomla website. No messing with the web templates, just install the plug-in, enable it and enter in your 8 digit account number from CrazyEgg and start your click tracking.

CrazyEgg is a third party application that allows you to track your users click patterns on a website and then displays that information in various visual ways. It is a great way for testing the usability of a site design or the effectiveness of layouts and content presentation.

Asynchronous Google Analytics Plugin for Joomla

Asynchronous-Goolge-AnalyticsNormally we would embed the Google Analytics tracking code in to the template of each of the sites that we are build. In some circumstances we’d find that the end user would want more control over the Google Analytics code and would prefer to switch it on and off or insert new tracking code at their own will.

So we’ve compiled this little plugin that allows for just that.

Loading the Google Analytics code asynchronously allows for the rest of your site to load while the analytics code loads in the background and thus increasing the loading speed of your site by a few seconds.

Since Google now actively looks at your websites loading performance to calculates its search engine rankings, this plug-in is well worth a try.

Adding a Splash Page to Joomla

If you ever wanted create a slash page in Joomla you may have run in to the problem with the home button in your Joomla site’s menu continually sending the users back to the splash page of a website. From a usability point of view, this can become very annoying for many users who are simply just trying to get back to the home page of the site.
