As the year winds up and Christmas celebrations come to an end, we thought it would be a good time to have a look back over the year and see how far we have come as a growing web design and development studio in Sydney.

In early December I’ll be doing a presentation at OZeWAI on Web Accessibility for Joomla.
The presentation will cover making Joomla web accesible as well as going through a case study of a website that is aiming to meet WCAG 2.0 AA level of compliancy all built with Joomla.

It has been a few months since I, Peter Bui, have managed to make it out to a Joomla User Group meeting in Adelaide. With other work and social commitments, illness and health it has been quite hard at times.
Overall it is good to see that the Joomla User Group in Adelaide is still going strong with the committed work of Greg and Jared over the past few months to keep things going.

This month has been an interesting month in the Joomla community with lots of involvement and developments.
We see a new patch release for Joomla moving it to Joomla version 1.5.21 and we also see the editors from the Joomla Extension Directory (JED) open up for nominations for the editor’s pick. There are only a few hours left in before submissions for JED nominations close so get in there quick and vote for your favourite extension. We don’t have many plugins in the JED but if you like or use any of them, please nominate us or vote for our plugins. – http://extensions.joomla.org/extensions/owner/buipy001%40gmail-2Ecom

Oh how could I forget! Upon waking up this morning and reading through my regular blog posts I see one in particular from the Joomla.org website in regards to Joomla and Joomla.org turning 5 today.
Joomla today celebrates 5 years of existence as the 1st of September marks the day the Joomla.org website was launched.
I must thank Joomla, the developers and all of the community because we as a business may not even exist or be doing as well as we are right now.
We’ll always be supporting Joomla, Joomla Days around Australia and Joomla User Group meetings where ever possible.
