PB Web Development
PB Web Development is growing again and we’re in need of the skills of an experienced web developer that is familiar with Joomla and has good to excellent PHP skills. The position will be a short term contract with possibilities of extension to long term contracts or employment.
This is an in-house role working internally with the PB Web Development team here in Potts Point, Sydney.
We’ve put together a short video of some of the web design and development work that has been produced from the Sydney office this year. There are many more that we’ve worked and and just as many to launch this year so I’ll update this video with more lovely content.
Most of the website are done with either Joomla or WordPress with all the Joomla ones using K2!
Just over two years ago we had a very strong presence in Adelaide where we provided web design and web development services for our clients there.
Since then PB Web Development has moved on and moved over to Sydney where we’ve found a new family of clients and websites to work on. We’re not dropping all of our Adelaide clients altogether though. We still have a strong working relationship with them and will still be working and maintaining existing Adelaide clients.
You’ve been good to us Adelaide but Sydney now officially is our home. Wonder what is happening in Melbourne and Brisbane?
Did I mention we’re going on a short holiday in May? Well some of us in the office will be away so there will be limited resources during that time.
If your one of our hosted solution or service clients, please arrange backups of your websites in early May to be either emailed or delivered to you.
Please refrain from breaking your website during this period :) we know it’s always tempting. Most of our clients shouldn’t even realize that we are gone during this time as all project time lines have this period taken into account.

After several months of long hard work by the Joomla development team, the latest major version of Joomla has finally been release. Joomla 1.6 starts a new era of Joomla websites for all designers, developers and website administrators.
You can download the new release from the Joomla.org website, view the demo site of Joomla 1.6, and read a few Joomla 1.6 tutorials.
Drupal had its launch date last week on the 7th of January and WordPress are looking at the release of WordPress 3.1 at the end of this month. It is quite a busy month for the entire open source community.
